VIRGINIA COSTA SOUSA June 28, 1942 - November 16, 2015 Peacefully on November 16, 2015 Virginia passed away at the age of 73 years. Virginia was born June 28, 1942 in Santa Maria, Azores Portugal. She along with her family moved to Winnipeg in 1971. Virginia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jose Sousa; their only child Mario Sousa and his fiancée Joanne; two sisters Maria Lurda from Winnipeg and Filomina from Portugal. Predeceased by her parents Antonio Sr. and Mary Anna, two brothers Antonio Jr. and Joe; and sister Maria. Thank you to close family friends, Silvana Viveiros, Costa family, Sousa family and the Gravito family. Special thank you to the home care and staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Dialysis Unit. Prayers will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St., Winnipeg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Interment in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. If donations will be made, please donate to the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba.
