Jimmy The Greek will be greatly missed! We traded law enforcement rusty gold at shows in Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton. Jimmy always had some funny stories for me from police collecting to meeting the American Pickers! Jimmy was taken from us far too early. - Posted by: Gary Hubka (long time collector friend) on: Nov 20, 2015

You were just a fresh-faced pup when you joined the sports department of The Evening Times-Globe and Telegraph-Journal in Saint John, New Brunswick, all those many years ago. Jimi the Greek we called you. You certainly added laughter and suspense to our nightly routine. You dressed up and portrayed Chief Poke-A-Puck-In at local senior hockey games. You made friends easily and never lacked a zest for living. That chapter of your life led to others - other workplaces, other playgrounds, other rinks and the joy of family life as the proud father and grandfather. Years would pass. We would lose touch and then reconnect briefly. I'm glad we both made the effort to meet up last year at the McAllister Mall in Saint John where, for more than two hours, we revisited our past and updated one another on our lives. So many stories. So many laughs. What a shock to discover you're gone far too soon! Condolences to Joanne and the family! God bless. - Posted by: Mike & Melody Mullen (Friend and former co-worker ) on: Nov 19, 2015

It is so surreal! Jim and Joanne would attend our auctions. We called him Jimmy the Greek! He always had a smile and a good joke. He will be truly missed by all - Posted by: Heather A Doroschuk-McSherry (friend) on: Nov 19, 2015

I am in shock. Just talked to him last week and he was his usual, funny self. Always upbeat about life and looked forward to many more years travelling the world with Joanne and spending time with his children and grandchildren. I will truly miss him. A great guy. - Posted by: Bill Harrison (Friend) on: Nov 18, 2015

The 'old boys' lost another great guy much too soon. Somehow our Thursday coffees at Timmies just won't be the same without Jim and his colourful and always interesting stories. Rest in Peace my friend. Harry - Posted by: Harry Troche (Friend) on: Nov 18, 2015

Jim and his past wife Carol were like grandparents to my children, Kristen and Brett. Jim would often take them to Toys R'Us to scout out the latest toys, or treat them to donuts at the local coffee shop. The collector pins Jim had mounted for each of them will be treasured keepsakes to remind them of the great times spent with him. He will be truly missed. - Posted by: Louella Harms (Old friend) on: Nov 18, 2015

Jim was one of a kind. A good man with a good heart, always ready with a great story or a joke. Willing to help when asked. I will miss him. We shared the same birthday, and we would always touch base on our birthday to wish the other a special day. I will miss him. - Posted by: Jaime Cline (Friend) on: Nov 18, 2015
