RUSTUCA (ROSE) DE VEYRA FOLDES With deepest sympathy, the family of Mrs. Rustica "Rose" de Veyra Foldes regretfully announces her sudden, yet peaceful passing at the Health Sciences Centre on November 16, 2015 at the age of 79 years. Rose was born on October 9, 1936 in Tanauan, Leyte, Philippines. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lesley Foldes; her parents Luis and Iluminada Olino-de Veyra; her brother Vicente and sister Minda. Left to mourn are her sister Lydia with husband Efren Allenigue and children Jeanell and Jonathan from California, U.S.A. In the Philippines are her brother Conrado and Lynn de Veyra with their family, sisters Godelia de Veyra, Iluminada Cano and family. In Winnipeg, she has her niece Apple and Dan Ochea with Baby Kirk Douglas, nephews Joeman and Pearl Cano, Jonathan Cano, Paul and Stephanie Cano, cousin Camela Pumanes and nephew Jon Benedict Pumanes. A Funeral Wake (Lamay) will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg. Prayers will be held at 7:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place, Winnipeg. The burial will take place at the Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery located at 3990 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Our warmest thanks and gratitude go to the Health Sciences Centre staff for their unending support, and most of all to the many friends and relatives who extended their wholehearted condolences and comfort.
