RUSSELL (ALEX) GILCHRIST Alex passed away November 12, 2015 at the age of 86. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley. He is also survived by son Brent and daughter Kim. Alex was predeceased by his son Dale (Lorise) in 2011. Alex enjoyed seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Alex was a Chartered Accountant with Revenue Canada for 35 years, which involved a lot of travelling. He was also the Treasurer for the MB Gun Dog Association, training many Labrador Retrievers over the years. Alex and Shirley enjoyed many years of ballroom dancing with good friends. Upon retirement Alex and Shirley moved to the Sandy Hook Golf course overlooking the 17th hole. Golf was a passion. Many winters were spent in Mesa, Arizona. Cremation has taken place and at Alex's request, no service will be held. If desired donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of MB. The family thanks the staff at Visa Park Lodge for Alex's care and compassion. Arrangements by Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day St., Winnipeg.
