Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN DUNCAN It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend on Thursday, November 12, 2015. Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Harold Duncan, mother Elena Girden, and brother Jack Girden, and survived by her brothers Dick Girden and Don Girden, and her sister Myrtle McDougall. She is remembered by her daughters, Bonnie Duncan (Tim), and Kathy Stimpson (Ian), son, Todd Duncan (Barbara), and grandchildren Duncan, Miranda, Shaelynn, Serena, Brock, Kaitlin, and Kyra. Lillian was born in Winnipeg on July 3, 1930, and purchased a home with her beloved Harold in Transcona in 1956 in which she raised her family. She was a loving dedicated wife, a sharing and committed mother and a great friend. Lillian worked at Eaton's where she found a passion for fashion and loved to shop. She enjoyed musicals and loved to share her voice, singing and dancing. Her hobbies were knitting and needle point and she loved spending her summers at the lake in Spruce Sands. We'd like to share a special thank you to the staff at the Golden Door, where Mom spent her last days with great appreciation to Maria, Wendy and Sean. A celebration of life gathering for family and friends will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28 at the Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery & Crematorium 1800 Day Street.
