PATRICIA MARIE HUBICK Suddenly, on December 2, 2015 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Pat Hubick, aged 83 years of Selkirk, MB, beloved wife of Ernie and mother of Kim. Pat was born in Glenella, MB to Mike and Mary Turko. She was predeceased by her father in 1984 and her mother in 2008. She went to Ottawa, ON in 1952 where she met Ernie and they were married February 14, 1953 (Valentine's Day). She had picked that date so Ernie would never forget their anniversary. Ernie was in the RCAF and left the forces after their daughter Kim was born. They moved to Selkirk in 1960 where Pat's parents were living. Pat worked at SMHC for over 25 years and after retirement was an active member of the Archives Committee for 27 years. Pat enjoyed cottage life, especially gardening at Whitesands Estates. She also liked picking blueberries, giving away more than she kept. Even though she didn't have any siblings, she had many great friends that are like family. Thank you to everyone that has been so supportive to us during these times. She will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Lovingly Remembered Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
