I am late for condolences. My heart is so sad to hear that Barb is no longer here with us. She was such a wonderful and inspiring woman. I looked up to her not only as a business mentor but as a friend. Barb gave me a chance when no one else would and I got to achieve a dream because of her kindness and belief in me. A gift I will always have. I will miss your voice and your old school ways. You made an impression lady! Thanks for the great mom hugs always. ♡ - Posted by: Leanne Quennelle (Client/friend) on: Nov 14, 2017

We too have just found out about Barbs passing. Our deepest condolences to your family. She was our bank rep for at least a decade but was considered more of a friend as she always had time to listen to us and work with us. Barb had always given us hope and helped us get back on our feet when no body else would from any other Banking institute. We are so glad to have known her. We will truly miss her and her awesome nature. - Posted by: Dennis Kurchaba / Donna Bourns (client) on: Mar 22, 2016

I just found out today that Barb is no longer with us in this world. She was my trusted bank manager for many years, I truly respected and appreciated her. So sad to hear she's gone. I always felt she understood what I needed almost without asking, and treated me as though I was a trusted and respected human being, a rarity in some places of business. Again, just feeling such sadness, and extend my heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. - Posted by: Rainey Gaywish (client) on: Mar 21, 2016

We are so saddened by the passing of Barb. She was a wonderful person. Every time we came into Winnipeg we always made a point of surprising her, it was always great to see that smile on her face when the kids went running into her office. She will be greatly missed. Our condolences to all her family and friends. We'll miss you Barb! - Posted by: Mary & Scott Hanuschak (Friend) on: Dec 14, 2015

I met Barb through the bank over three decades ago. She started out as a great representative of the bank, but, over the years, our relationship morphed into more that of friends than professional colleagues. My heartfelt condolences to her family. She was a fine lady. - Posted by: Doug Johnston (lawyer/friend) on: Dec 14, 2015

I have always felt a never ending graditude towards Barb. She was one of the kindest women that I have ever met. As a single mom, I was always comforted in knowing that I was in very good hands when I went to her with banking needs. She was always kind, caring and sincere! Her compassion got me through a few tough times! She went above and beyond! She will be dearly missed! God Bless! - Posted by: Michelle Fingler (Former Collegue / Long-Time Banking Client of Barbs) on: Dec 06, 2015

My family was a client of Barb's for almost a decade and over that time we felt that she had become a true friend. Her professionalism and willingness to help us build an incredibly strong financial plan were attributes that we often don't see today. Outside of business world at CIBC she was always super quick and went out of her way to give you a big HELLO and inquire how life was treating us - that always stuck with me and still puts a smile on our faces. Without going into too much detail we know what a wonderful giving person she was. Our family wishes to express how much we appreciated her as an individual. Clearly a good person who was taken far too soon and it just doesn't seem fair. I am sure that in the afterlife they have secured a preferred spot for her to watch over those she cared for. - Posted by: John Sienkiewicz (Client/Friend) on: Dec 05, 2015
