Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINDA DAWN SAMPLE May 27, 1953 - December 12, 2015 It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Dawn Sample (nee Parker) while in the warm embrace of her family, on December 12, 2015. Linda leaves behind loving husband Bob, sons Steven (Natalie), Stewart (Judy), and grandchildren Mackenzie, Kayla, Parker and Alexis. Also missing Linda is her mom Ellen and siblings Brian (Shelley), Brenda, Cliff and Brad. Linda will be greatly missed by her furry family members Molly and Pepper. Linda was predeceased by her father, Donald Harvey Parker. Linda's loss leaves an enormous hole in the heart of all those who know and love her. Linda was a person with just the right mix of sweetness and strength. She did not crumble under pressure and was always too busy sit down and cry when the going got tough. She was an independent person who didn't always ask for support, but had lots of family, friends and neighbours willing to offer. Linda was an avid sports fan. Nothing made her feel better than cheering on the Bombers and the Jets. Watching the Jets play lifted Linda's spirit even when she was extremely ill. The illness could not prevent her from criticizing a bad call and being passionate about the game. Linda enjoyed family gatherings and organized these events with great talent, taking great care that every family and friend's needs were well looked after. Linda was a life partner in a true sense of the word. She was always helping with projects big and small. Even in her last days she was reminding to "take the dogs to the groomers" or that "trash day was Thursday". A special thanks is extended to the compassionate staff of the Victoria General Hospital and CancerCare Manitoba for the care provided to Linda and for the assistance provided to the family during this difficult period of time. According to her wishes, Linda will be cremated and there will be no funeral. There will be a celebration of her life from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 with a special tribute at 3:00 p.m. at Thomson "in the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers and gifts, a donation can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society in Linda's name. www.thomsoninthepark.com

She was out there smiling and brushing it off. Everyone should have had a kind, loving person as a friend. My sincere thoughts goes out to her family that she so loved. I was so sorry to hear of Linda's passing while we were visiting family in Calgary over the holidays. Our group of Bomber fans all enjoyed many years together in both the old and new stadium. That beautiful smile and wonderful personality will be sorely missed, but I know she will be still cheering from above and watching over all her loved ones. Bob, my sincere sympathy to you and your family in your loss. - Posted by: Pauline Kulbaba (Bomber buddy) on: Dec 31, 2015

Linda & Bob have been members of our group of Blue Bomber fans for a number of years. As season ticket subscribers, we sat beside each other at every game and became fast friends. We shared our love of football and came to share stories of our families. The members of our group are going to miss Linda next season. When the Bombers score touchdowns we will dedicate them to Linda! Our sincere sympathies go out to Bob and the boys. - Posted by: Barbara Taylor & Gary Garbutt (Fellow Winnipeg Blue Bomber fans) on: Dec 22, 2015
