Date of Passing: Dec 09, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE LAWSON REAY It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather on December 9, 2015 at the Peace Arch Hospital, Surrey, B.C. Lawrence had recently celebrated his 95th birthday. Left to cherish Lawrence's memory are his son Roger and his wife Heather, grandchildren Jason (Teresa) and Kevin (Christine), and great-grandson Aiden. Lawrence was predeceased by his first wife, Vicki, his second wife Betty, his parents William and Elizabeth, brothers , Billy and Norman, and sisters Lil, Florence and Nora. For many years Dad was a referee with the Greater Winnipeg Minor Hockey Association and later became a board member. He never lost his love for the game of hockey and was always excited to hear any and all details of Aiden's hockey games. Dad and Mom moved to Coquitlam in 1970, where he continued his employment with Reimer Express Lines as a sales representative and they spent their retirement years in Whiterock, B.C. Dad and Betty enjoyed 10 years of marriage. We would like to thank Peace Portal Lodge and all their employees for the love and care they showed to our father. At Lawrence's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Affordable Cremations, Surrey, B.C. 1-604-936-9913
