Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORINE BEVERLY KIRTON March 9, 1927 - December 15, 2015 Norine passed away peacefully at her home at Twin Beaches on Tuesday surrounded by the love of her family. She was raised in the Blenheim area of southern Ontario and received her degree as a registered nurse in 1948 from the Chatham General Hospital. She remained a loving, caring and respected member of the nursing profession until her retirement in 1986 as Staff Health Nurse at the Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg. Upon retirement, she traveled with her husband Donn to see the Wonders of the World. From the cradles of ancient civilization to many exotic ports, she walked on the wall in China, visited the marketplace and mosques of Istanbul, sailed around the Horn, Australia, New Zealand, and went to the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. She also saw the pyramids of Egypt, visited Bethlehem, walked the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem and toured the Vatican. Her favourites however were safaris in Kenya and Tanzania. Most of all Norine was truly devoted to her family and her flowers, seeing beauty in all things. She was predeceased by her mother and father Ada and Roy Eves, and her brother Tom. Norine is survived by her loving husband Donn; daughters, Noralee, Kathy (Brian), Carol (Roger) and son Bruce (Linda); grandchildren, Jason (Jessica), Vanessa, Michael, Kyle, Thomas(Amrit), and Genevieve; great-grandson Mason. She is also survived by her sister, Eleanor and her cherished nephews, nieces, cousins and her beloved cat, T.C.. Our sincere gratitude is expressed to Dr. Bob Kroeker, Nurse-Practitioner Tammy Hagyard-Wiebe, those from Palliative Care; Laura Klammer BN RN and Vera Appleyard, the wonderful homecare assistants, the pastoral care of Deborah Vitt, and a very special thank you to Kathy Loewen for making those dream trips come true. Per her wishes, a private family service will be held. Donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba. My sincere condolences to Donn and the family. Norine was a good and kind friend to me and although we only stayed in touch once a year by Christmas card and letter I appreciated so much her love and friendship. Donn and family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Norine. She was one of the most caring and beautiful people I have ever met. Norine and I worked together in Occupational Health at Misericordia. She truly was an exceptional person and she will be in my thoughts for ever.
