LARRY RONALD FEDORI Larry left this earth, peacefully in his sleep, 61 years of age, at the hospital. Larry is survived by his loving partner of 20 plus years Nancy Russell, his mother Kay Fedori, sister Lynda Gayson (Tim), and niece Kathryne. He was predeceased by his father Ronald Fedori. Larry felt like a loved member of Nancy's family and will also be missed by John and Bev Pellick, Sandy and Dan Reagan and their families. Larry grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario graduating from surveying. In his younger years there, he enjoyed Ukrainian dancing with the Vesnyanka dance troupe, church involvement as an altar boy and making perogies, hand gliding, downhill skiing and training in karate. He loved food and his mother's cooking. He spoke fondly of these days and his two buddies George and Kenny. Larry moved to Winnipeg working at the Winnipeg Free Press. He was involved for many years with Adventures for Successful Singles co-ordinating and playing sports which is where he met Nancy. Larry looked forward to their annual ski trip to the mountains where his goal was to be the first person in line on the ski lift and last one off. Larry was a gentle soul with a quick wit and great sense of humour. He loved to laugh and tried to put a smile on the face of everyone he met. He would go out of his way to help anyone in need and had an uncanny instant connection with seniors, entering great conversations of days gone by. Music was in his soul and he would stop what he was doing to hear a good tune on the radio. Larry had a special gift of approaching every moment through the eyes of a child in wonderment and with passion, making everyday things seem amazing. Keep smiling my special friend and partner and know you will be missed. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with interment to follow. • I was just thinking of Larry today and looked this up and I am sorry this condolence is so late. Larry always kept me smiling during our dancing days in Thunder Bay. I thought of him at this time of year as I have fond memories of Ukrainian Christmas Caroling. We had so much fun. Such a sweet man, I am sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Catherine Jones (friend) on: Nov 26, 2018

  • My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Steven Safronuk (Cousin) on: Dec 26, 2015

  • We enjoyed many times with Larry, especially at the lake. He loved to play cards (canasta), keeping an eye on the beavers wondering what went "thump" in the night, golf and reminisce about his wilderness adventures. He was always helping out and contributing where he was needed. We join Nancy in her loss. - Posted by: Sandra And Dan Reagan (Nancy's sister) on: Dec 25, 2015

  • So sorry to hear of the passing of my very good friend Larry (Zonk in bygone days). Fond recollections and smiles the the years spent together as members of the dance group and good buddies through our young years and into our early twenties. Boot hockey at Tarbett Park, helping out at the store, working bingos and on occasion getting into a bit of mischief. I will remember you dearly my friend. Thoughts and prayers for Nancy and Larry's family in Ottawa. - Posted by: George Karpiuk (good friend) on: Dec 24, 2015
