JANET TAYLOR Janet Taylor of Roblin, Manitoba and formerly of Winnipeg passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the age of 55 years. Janet was the beloved wife of Cameron Garfield Taylor of Roblin; loving mother of sons, Andrew Binne of Edmonton and Kyle (Lauren) Binne of Winnipeg; cherished stepmom of Johnathan Taylor (Rachel Henry), Elizabeth Tomkins, and Christopher (Jamie Gawley) Taylor; devoted grandma of Ashton Taylor, Alexander Tomkins, Cameron Taylor, Ayla Taylor, Riley Taylor; loving sister of Garry Kirkham (Sandy), Bill (Carol Joy) Blackburn, Rick (Margaret) Blackburn, Melodie (Lionel) Duruisseau, Fred (Sandra) Blackburn, David (Debbie) Blackburn, Colleen Blackburn; Debbie Basterache, Randy Blackburn; Greg (Jennifer) Blackburn; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews; and cherished friend of sister-in-law Sharon-Rose Taylor. She was predeceased by her father Harry Blackburn and mother Winifred (nee Parliment) Blackburn and sister Betty (Lorne) Pelletier. Janet was born October 4, 1960 and lived all her life in Winnipeg having only just recently moved with Garfield to Roblin. As a single mother, Janet completed studies and worked as a legal secretary. She worked for more than 10 years for the Salvation Army where she held a number of increasingly responsible positions. Janet worked tirelessly for the SA, volunteering for community projects and mentoring young people. Janet was a gifted organizer, crafter and even linguist, contributing many "Janetisms" to the language. One of her greatest gifts was her ability to forgive. Janet loved all things Christmas, craft shows, daisies, ballet, singing, dancing, Bon Jovi, the Dollar Store; tea parties, board games; costume parties and kids. What she loved best was family. She loved Garfield, her soulmate and best friend, and all the Little Things' that only they shared. She loved her sons and stepchildren. She loved her grandchildren and special nephews Braden and Ethan. She already loved her newest grandchild expected in March. Janet, that unforgettable smile, and her laughter will always be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends and family gathered January 9, 2016 at the Salvation Army Heritage Temple in Winnipeg to celebrate Janet's life. Donations in Janet's memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
