Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I can remember the days when Mr.Hart had that big old station wagon maybe even a couple of them and he used to take the boys fishing. That car didnt have another square inch of room to spare! Im sure he put as much in that wagon as I put in my truck. Ha ha. Going out to the farm at Spruce siding and throwing bales is still one of my fondest memories with Mr.H He would ride that tractor with his pipe in his mouth and I think he was in his glory. Meanwhile the boys would scurry along behind the tractor hoisting bales up onto the haywagon. Hard work but we loved it. The farm was such a beautiful tranquil place and I can understand what the attraction was when Mr Hart announced that he had bought a farm. He was much like my own Dad in his old school ways and a bit of a frontiersman. Not big on alot of talking but a very generous and kind man. I always felt at home in the Hart household and I will cherish those memories until we meet again. - Posted by: Tim Sullivan (family friend) on: Jan 29, 2016

  • My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Gerald Hart. The Hart family was very special to my mother and her family. My mother, Irene Lesnick (Winnipeg), was very close to Jimmy and Del Hart as she spent much of her childhood in Farran's Point. We spent our summers at my grandparents' farm (Pat and Anna Murphy) in Farran's Point and also got to know Uncle Jimmy and Aunty Del. As life would have it- many of us ended up in Manitoba and Jimmy once visited us in Gimli. - Posted by: Lynn.Smith@UManitoba.ca (Grandaughter of Anna and Patrick Murphy (Farran's Point) who were dear friends of Del and Jimmy Hart) on: Jan 25, 2016
