I met Eleanor when I was exercising in a park several years ago. She was kind, a good listener and clearly very intelligent. Over the next few years we enjoyed many conversations over a wide range of topics. I never knew she was a teacher as she was a rather private person but now this gels so perfectly with her personality. I can picture her dedication to her young students. I hadn't talked with her for quite a while and was rather shocked at reading of her passing here. Clearly she was brought up well. It really showed in everything about her, including her faith which she reinforced daily with Christian radio. One of the best people I ever met in Winnipeg. - Posted by: A Friend (Friend) on: Oct 21, 2017

I met Eleanor at the school division and we spent many years with our desks side by side. I only knew Eleanor through work but she was a very kind, quiet and even shy woman. My condolences to her family. Blessings linda stannard - Posted by: linda stannard (co worker ) on: Feb 08, 2016

I am saddened to hear of Eleanor's passing. I met Eleanor while working at the Winnipeg School Board in the late 60's. We were friends, along with Judy Hildebrand, until I moved away. We stayed in contact for a while, but as time passed we lost touch with each other. I still remember Eleanor's bright, shy smile and her wonderful sense of humour. She was really a beautiful person, and I am thankful to have known her. - Posted by: Terry (McKnight) Peemoeller (friend) on: Jan 21, 2016
