Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIAN MATHIESON SUTHERLAND 1936 - 2016 Peacefully after a brief illness, with his family by his side, Ian passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016. Ian will be missed by his wife of 55 years, Joan; his daughters Jami Wild (Mike Woodward), Jodi (Paul) Crust; grandchildren Kiersten (Myron) Sydoruk, Katie (Mike) Downs, Kevin (Jackie) Wild, McKenna Wild and Hailey Crust; great-granddaughter Ellie Sydoruk; brothers Hugh (Mary), and Neal (Therese); and numerous nieces and nephews. Ian was a man of many talents and interests, but his greatest pride was his family. A Memorial Gathering will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home in the Reception Centre, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Monday, January 25 at 2:30 p.m. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to staff at the Victoria Hospital 4th floor and especially Nada. "Suds" was one of the nicest guys I have met in my 86 years plus. He ALWAYS "called them as he saw them" . My association with "Beer and Skits" would not have been the sweet memory it was (& still is) to me without his guidance & support.
