Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARILYN DALE CHAMBERLAIN It is with pain in our hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Dale Chamberlain, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother at the age of 61 years. Marilyn's golden heart stopped beating in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 13, 2016, while in hospital at St. Ann's Bay in Jamaica. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, James; her daughters Lyn (Frederick) and Anna-Marie (Sulaimon); her grandchildren Dwayne, Ishmael, Idris, Ramon, Suliat and Noah; her brother Brian (Barb); her in-laws Penny (Mike) Yaworski and Ted (Jane) Chamberlain along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Also her furry companion Rowdy Dude. She is preceded by her parents John and Gladys Vernie; brother Larry Vernie and her in-laws William and Agnes Chamberlain. Marilyn started her legacy when she married and started her family with Jim, 43 years ago. She was a loving, supportive and devoted wife and mother. She had strong family values and put her family first. She made sure that her family knew she loved them and was there for them. She often put the needs and wants of others before her own, as she never wanted anyone to be without if it was something that she could provide. Marilyn raised her two daughters to be a perfect reflection of herself. Each one taking on the different personality traits that she posed. She was happy, straight forward, strong-willed, kind, caring, quick witted, creative, generous, social, intelligent and most of all she was a fighter. Marilyn had a lifetime of health issues that she had overcome but she always fought thru them with a smile. She lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed camping and being in the sun, playing bingo and card games, word search puzzles, travelling, going to the movies and most recently she discovered the Internet. Cremation has taken place in Jamaica and a memorial service officiated by The Venerable Godfrey Mawejje will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk at a later date. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
