Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAIN JOSEPH ERNEST GROUETTE Alain passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, after a long battle with Parkinson's. He was born in Winnipeg, MB, to Tobie and Hermine (Fatty) Grouette. In his early years, he was an avid golfer and curler and also enjoyed boxing. At the age of 22 years, he started his career with the Canadian National Railway and had to take an early retirement due to his illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Aline, of 59 years; his daughter Jacqueline (Ken Thompson); his two grandchildren, Justin (Kirsten) and Karlie (Trevor Martin); and one great-grandson Jaxson. He is also survived by his brother Leo (Simone); sisters, Pauline Faucher and Evelyn (Marcel Pattyn); and many nieces and nephews. Thank you to all the staff on the 4DE Unit at Actionmarguerite-Taché Centre. Also a big thank you to Dr. Pravinsager Mehta for his excellent care and kindness to Alain for many years. Dear Aline I am so very sorry to hear of Alain's passing after so many year's of having to accept with dignity his long term illness. Please accept my most sincere condolences and prayers to you and your family during this most difficult time but know that he is now at peace and will always be with you to enjoy the many happy memories that you shared.Very sincerely from a good friend of so many years ago.
