Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) BLAIR THOMSON John (Jack) Blair Thomson passed away suddenly on January 12, 2016 at the Grace Hospital. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life for 57 years, Helen Thomson; their twin daughters, Beverlee (Chris) Kellerman and Barbara (Tom) Kleysen; two grandchildren, Stephen and Shannon Kleysen; and his brother Herb (Donna) Thomson and family of Vancouver; and Helen's sister Margaret Seifert of Winnipeg. Jack was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 2, 1930 and studied pharmacy at the University of Manitoba. He worked his entire career as a pharmacist in the province of Manitoba. Jack was an active member of the Rossmere Golf and Country Club for 44 years, where he golfed, curled and volunteered. He retired in 1988, but continued being active for the rest of his life. In later years, you could find Jack at the hockey arena cheering on both of his grandchildren. He was a wonderful and caring husband, Dad and Grandpa. He will be missed by all who knew him. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stoke Foundation (6 Donald Street, Suite 200, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6) or the Cancer MB Foundation (675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9) are requested.
