JEAN ANNE LAPLANTE September 11, 1925 - January 30, 2016 Jean Jaeger was a middle child of seven. She grew up on the family farm in Sanford. One summer she took a job in Red Lake, where she met the love of her life, Ted, who was her everything for 55 years. More than anything Jean loved children, not just her three, but foster children, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and any baby that crossed her path. Jean had a love for fashion and was always well dressed. She had a talent for design and could sew you any outfit, just from your description. She was a great quilter, and maker of stuffed animals. After living in Red Lake for 32 years Jean and Ted retired to Winnipeg where their love for community and Church continued, through their numerous volunteer efforts. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Vital Parish Church, 1629 Pembina Highway at Manahan Avenue. Interment will follow in the Fort Garry Roman Catholic Cemetery, 826 Crescent Drive at South Drive. Followed by a reception at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Vital Parish THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
