Ken leaves behind his best friend and wife of 45 years Ellen, and his children Lynda, Howard (Lucy), Cliff (Denise), Adrian D'Ottavio (Lori) and Monica Bromley (Terry). Also grandchildren Dallas, Holly, Jonathan, Jenelle, Jesse, Emily, Breydon, Mitchell, Connie, Crystal and three great-grandchildren. Brother Brian in New Zealand, sister-in-law Antigoni (David) Barrett, brother-in-law Valdimar Karvelson and sister-in-law Thelma (Chuck) Hoff and several nieces and nephews. Ken was born in Stockport, England and came to Canada in 1956. Ken was a diesel mechanic by trade and could fix or build almost anything. He spent six years working at the Dew Line in his early years and finished his working life with a successful business with Ellen called Unlimited Mobility. Ken had incredible strength in his hands as he was able to rip a deck of cards in half and than rip the half in half again. Ellen and Ken spent 30 wonderful years at Devils Gap in Kenora Ontario and rang the bell daily for the passing of the M.S. Kenora. They also enjoyed many winters as snowbirds in Palm Springs California. We would like to thank the staff at Red River Place in Selkirk for their time and caring way of looking after Ken these past three years. A small gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date. www.seasonsfunerals.ca
