BARBARA (BARB) ELLEN WALLIS (nee THOMPSON) March 16, 1958 - February 4, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be forever missed by her loving husband Brad; sons, Cory, Chris (Denise); daughters, Meaghan (Steve) and Brianne (Bryan); grandchildren, Andrijana, Austin, Camden, Cheyenne, Caleb and Montana; brothers, Mike (Laurie), Terry (Eric); sisters, Sandi and Candy (Rick), and many nieces and nephews. Barb was a loving and caring mother with a big heart and loved her family with a fierce passion. Not only was she a mother to her children but she also filled the matriarch role with all her co-workers and friends at Boeing Canada. Barb worked at Boeing Canada for 20 years as a Procurement Agent. She will be sadly missed by her Boeing family. Barb loved animals almost as much as she loved her family and friends, especially dogs and horses. Barb and Brad shared their family ranch with eight horses and five dogs. Barb's final wish was that there will be no public funeral or memorial service. Cremation has already taken place privately with her family. The Wallis family wishes to express their gratitude to the loving and caring staff at HSC RR6. Their support and compassion was greatly appreciated during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the Wallis family requests that donations be made to Autism Canada at autismcanada.org. "YOU WERE LOVED MORE THAN CAKE!" Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • Barbara was a co-worker and friend of mine from the moment she joined the Purchasing Department at Boeing. She would always lend an ear and chat when things were chaotic and never appeared to get flustered. She was always willing to give a helping hand even when her own plate was overflowing. I will really miss our talks and extend my sincere condolences to Brad & the rest of the Wallis clan. Gone but will never be forgotten. You are forever in our hearts Booboora - Posted by: David Rychly (Co-worker/Friend) on: Feb 09, 2016

  • We have known and worked with Barb for quite a while. It was always a joy to go over to her and have a chat. She even had time to come to a few retirement parties and it cheered everyone up to see her there. I just hope we cheered her up as much as she did us. Condolences to Brad and family. - Posted by: Steve & Denise Meyer (Friends/Co-workers) on: Feb 08, 2016

  • It was a pleasure to know Barb. We will miss her on Fridays at bowling as we watch Cory with his inimitable style of bowling and as Scott tries (mostly in vain) to beat Brad. Our condolences to Brad and the rest of the family. - Posted by: The Smiths (bowling buddies) on: Feb 08, 2016

  • Lori became friends with Barb when they worked together at Holiday Chev. Our daughters were born the same year and Lori babysat Meaghan for awhile. Though we lost touch through the years we have fond memories of Barb and were sad to hear of her passing. Our condolences to the families. - Posted by: Lori and Dain Lanouette (Friends) on: Feb 08, 2016
