EVELYN JEAN WEBSTER (nee THOMPSON) Ev was born March 23, 1925, she passed away peacefully with family at her side at Vista Park Lodge on January 30, 2016. After a long struggle with Vascular Dementia. Predeceased by her late husband James Webster of 68 years, her parents George Dergew Thompson and Marion Elizabeth Culverhouse, her siblings Nora, Rusty, Jean, Crawford and Betty. She is survived by her devoted niece Denise (John), dear friend Marg, brother-in-law Andy, sister-in-law Joan as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Evelyn worked at Chapman Pharmacy for many years, then retired from National Drugs. She loved to entertain, was a wonderful cook who hosted many memorable parties and family events at her home in Matlock where she and Jim resided for many years. Evelyn was very kind, generous and lived a full and happy life. She had a green thumb, liked to golf, enjoyed reading a good book, playing the lottery, watching Coronation Street, and travelling especially to her favourite place Maui. Thank you to the caring and hardworking staff at Vista Park Lodge who looked after my dear Aunty Ev for the last five years. As per her request there will be no service. Ev and Jim are now finally Together Forever. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to War Amps of Canada, Alzheimer's Society, or a Charity of your choice. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Auntie Ev was the life of every family gathering as long as I can remember and we loved her for it. She would tell us the most unbelievable stories in a way that made them believable, no tale was to tall when it came to her stories. The nieces and nephews were lucky to have someone like her in our lives. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. - Posted by: John Webster (Nephew) on: Feb 11, 2016
