GIUSEPPA COLLERONE 1935 - 2016 Peacefully on February 4, 2016, Giuseppa passed away after a battle with various health concerns. She leaves behind her husband of almost 60 years, Calogero, son Joe (Darlene) and two granddaughters, Jennifer (Adam) and Stacey, and sister Rita in Sicily as well as many other relatives in Sicily, Germany, France and England. Giuseppa and Calogero and Joe immigrated to Canada in 1966 and embraced Canada as their home. They worked hard to make a good life for their family; she spent many years as a sewing machine operator. They travelled back to the "old country" a few times to visit family. They also enjoyed going to Florida to visit friends. They enjoyed their time at the cottage in Matlock for many years with a big garden at home and another one at the cottage which kept them busy all summer and fall. She loved life and specially cooking. Her greatest times were making cookies with her granddaughters. She was very creative and was able to crochet anything and mostly making her own patterns. Everyone in the family has something she has made. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Health Sciences Centre for their kind attention to Giuseppa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano celebrant. A reception for family and friends will follow the Mass in the church hall. Entombment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, at Assumption Cemetery.
