GENEVIEVE ADELLE FRANKS Genevieve Adelle Franks, aged 100 years, of Emerson, Manitoba, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Emerson Personal Care Home. She is survived by her children, Gayle (Gordon) Johnston and Lyndon (Jeannette) Franks, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Clarence Franks and her sister Thelma Haines and brother Malcom Copeland. Mom was a lifelong member of the Emerson United Church. She loved to spend time in her garden, particularly her flower gardens. Mom and Dad enjoyed dancing together and participated in many dancing competitions over the years. She had a love for life and tremendous sense of humour. Mom treasured her many friends and appreciated the family she had at South Gate and her latest home the Emerson Personal Care Home. Public viewing will be held at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at the Lake Louise Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Emerson Personal Care Home for the wonderful care they provided to our Mom, it is truly appreciated.
