Fernand was always the soft spoken individual. Never out of place. I have been away from Somerset for a long time now. I was just a little kid when he was a teen ager, but never did he not take time out to talk with us. I especially remember him when he and Annette got married, They us to do most of their weekly grocery shopping at the store, so naturally I sent them all the time. Won't be forgetting your memory soon Fernard. - Posted by: Gerald ( Gerry ) Pittet (Cousin) on: Feb 18, 2016

I grew up in Somerset, Mb. and Fernand and his family lived on a farm south of Somerset. My Dad and Fern's Mom were siblings. I remember going to their farm and having a good time there. Fernand was 14 years older then me but I still remember him very well. I went to school with his first wife's sister and her name was Lorraine just like me. Annette and Fernand used to always do their grocery shopping at my Dad's grocery store in Somerset. I offer my deepest sympathy to his wife, Lucille and his children, their spouses and also the grandchildren. - Posted by: Lorraine (Pittet) Henderson (First cousin) on: Feb 17, 2016

Mon oncle Fern was a hard working man. I have fond memories of visits to Manitoba, staying on the farm and playing around the yard, getting into mischief, and never being scolded. We just didn't get out Manitoba often after we grew up and had our own families. But we did make a point of visiting when we were there. Fern's life is reflected in his children who are strong and capable. Fern fought a long health battle and is in peace in the end. We will keep him in our prayers. - Posted by: Dolaine Koch (Bessette) & Dennis Koch (neice) on: Feb 17, 2016
