WILLIAM MON WAY WOO It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wonderful father and grandfather at the age of 86 years on Friday, February 12, 2016. Left to mourn his passing are: daughters, Lenora (Paul), Pauline (Carmelo); grandchildren: Larissa, Jade, Salvatore and Lexie; brother, Norman Wu (Leona); sisters, Lai Fong, Sui Fong, Yiu Fong (Kwok Chiu Wong). Dad was predeceased by his wife, Linda Sau King Woo on March 22, 2010. Dad was born in 1929 in Canton, China. He and mom got married in Winnipeg in 1963. Dad loved his family and was always there for us. When mom passed, he stayed strong and very independent. He did a lot of things on his own but was always there for his family. Dad was an excellent chef and made the best wantons!!! Dad was very brave and courageous in his battle with his cancers. He will be greatly missed. Special thanks to his doctors, nurse and clerks: Dr. Nobby Woo (Paula), Dr. Jason Park (Jenna), Dr. D. Drachenberg (Gayle), Dr. M.A. Akra and Dr. G. Sivananthan. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Burial will take place at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in dad's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
