ROSE KOZMET June 24, 1927- February 17, 2016 With great sadness, the family of Rose Kozmet announces her passing in Winnipeg at 88 years of age. Rose is survived by her daughter Anne Wright; granddaughter Shelley Vivian; nephews, Steve and Frank Kozmet (Janine) and niece Agnes. She was predeceased by her mother Anna and brother Frank. Rose was born in Nagykanizsa, Hungary. She fled the Hungarian Revolution in 1956, courageously choosing to make a new life in Canada for herself and her family. Rose was a very hard worker. She spent most of her career at Universal Book Bindery, where she became a supervisor. She took great pride in her home and its beautiful garden, which she tended with her mother. Rose loved her family very much and would do anything for her loved ones. Before Alzheimer's set in, she was a feisty spirit who loved to debate issues. She enjoyed reading, wine and was a big Montreal Canadiens fan in their heyday. Thank you to all the staff of River Park Gardens, especially Lourdes and Leah for their compassion in the last few difficult days. Thanks also to Father Carl Tarnopolski for his care and attention. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Rose's life will be held at a future date.
