Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARLENE GARIEPY (nee VAN CAUWENBERGH) Peacefully, on Saturday, February 13, 2016, with her children at her side, Marlene Gariepy passed away. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Clare (Vince), Michelle (Dave), Lisa (Glen); grandchildren, Taylor (Brook), Connor, Brettin, Carter, Cohen; and great-grandson Brody, as well as her sisters, brother, numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Mom was predeceased by her husband Denis Gariepy; parents, Charles and Maria, five brothers and two sisters. Many will remember Marlene from the Royal George Hotel, as she was a server there for 26 years. Mom loved dogs, and enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to the casinos. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and spoiled them rotten. The biggest gift she received was meeting her first great-grandchild, Brody, born January 19, 2016. In keeping with Marlene's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc Street.
