Born and raised in Winnipeg, Dad moved to Pine Falls in 1947 where he was employed by the Abitibi Paper Mill for 40 years before retiring with Mom to their summer home in Petersfield, Manitoba. Besides being an avid hunter and fisherman, Dad enjoyed playing cards, taking trips to the casino with Mom, making and drinking his home-made beer and wine, and spending hours in his garden and garage. He also enjoyed travelling, taking his five girls' on many camping trips throughout Canada and the USA. Some of our best memories of Dad are of times spent at the cabin on Netley Marsh. Special thanks to the staff at Selkirk General Hospital for the care and comfort provided to Ken and his family. In keeping with Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
