Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAXINE BEVERLEY LEACH July 11, 1943 - February 29, 2016 Peacefully with her family by her side, Maxine, aged 72 years, passed away at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Laura and Daniel Bowman, six brothers, two sisters, and her beloved husband Barry Leach. Left to mourn are her three children; Kim (Lance), Brad, and Carla (Bruce), and three precious grandchildren; Jordan, Destiny, and Tiana. She is also survived by her brother Dale, sisters Doreen, Joyce, and Donna along with several nieces, nephews and extended family. Born at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital she was raised in Gunton, MB., where she attended school. Mom was the second youngest from a family of 13 children. She lived with her sister Doreen during her teen years before moving to Winnipeg with her friend at the age of 16 to work at the Royal Bank. She had met the love of her life Barry Leach and was married October 28, 1961. They moved to the farm in Teulon, MB. in 1962, where they raised their three children. Mom took up a career in management at Teulon Chicken Delight and Chicken Chef retiring in 1988. Afterwards she loved to spend her time with her grandchildren attending soccer games, Christmas concerts, and music recitals. Mom loved to plan and organize various events and get togethers for family and friends. She enjoyed going on country drives and looked forward to camping trips to various places. In her later years she especially enjoyed travelling with her friends and sisters to the USA on many shopping sprees. Mom was diagnosed with kidney disease and was under the care of Dr. S. Armstrong whom supports patient care, he researched and developed a catheter procedure used at the Seven Oaks Dialysis Unit. We say a special Thank You to him and his wonderful team and the Nursing staff and Doctors at SOGH for the care they provided to our dear Mom. We also thank family and friends for their well wishes, visits, and support during her illness, Mom loved you all. She will be missed by all who knew her smiling face. I am saddened today to learn of loss of Maxine Leach and her husband Barry. Bill and I loved coming out to visit both Barry and Maxine. My prayers continue to go out to the children, Kim, Brad, Carla and their Families. Your Parents are always in my heart. My dear husband Bill passed Sept. 29, 2018, now on the other side as well. We had many great Memories of visits together with you both!! Working at the Royal Bank came to life with friends like Maxine!! I so loved our days together. Maxine was a wonderful woman who always welcomed you with smile. I always enjoyed her company and looked forward to a chance to see her. She was always fun to be around, she was full of laughter and we both shared countless amounts of wonderful conversations together over the years.
