Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTOPHER CHARLES BIRCH Chris passed away peacefully with his family at his side on February 28, 2016 at the age of 53 years. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Ingrid; his children, Nick (14) and Kiara (10); his father George Birch; brothers, Keith and Jeff (Jeannie) and children Aundrea, Andrew, Geoffrey and Savanah; uncles Charlie (Bernice), Rick, Cal (Ada) and their families as well as numerous relatives and friends and Ryder, his trusted dog and companion who was always at his side until the very end. He was predeceased by his mother Shirley Birch on May 3, 2015. Chris managed Jimmy Diesel Parts Ltd. and had a thriving snow clearing business, Northway Rentals and Sales Ltd. which he had to give up because of his illness. He had a great many medical problems during his life but never complained. If he was asked how he felt, his answer was always "I'm O.K." even if you could clearly see he was in distress. His concern was not for himself but for others always showing great strength and compassion. His greatest love was his family. He was heavily involved with his son Nick and the Nomads Football Club. He video-taped all the games for the team and never missed a game or practice. Chris beamed with pride watching his son play. Kiara his daughter, was his princess and she stole his heart from the moment she was born. She was truly "Daddy's Little Girl". Chris will forever be in Ingrid, Nick and Kiara"s hearts and they will think of him often. A Service to Celebrate Chris' life will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington St., Winnipeg, MB on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Chris can be made to a charity of one's choice. IF LOVE COULD HAVE SAVED YOU YOU WOULD HAVE LIVED FOREVER www.seasonsfunerals.ca

Neighbourhood friend We had only known Chris a few years and only visited a few times, but it was clear that he was a very good person and good father. He had a warm smile and was easy to talk with. He took our son to outings a number of times. He seemed to have deep understanding of life and didn’t sweat the small stuff. We are thankful for the times we got to spend with him. - Posted by: Rob & Corrine Read (Neighbourhood friend) on: Mar 08, 2016
