I was a resident of Burrows Constituency when Conrad became the NDP candidate and eventually the MLA in 1981. He was a trailblazer who helped the Filipino community attain a central role in the party. I served on his executive for many years and I have fond recollections of both Conrad and Emmy. They were very welcoming and gracious, and I have many vivid memories of the meetings and social events that took place in the "headquarters" at College and Arlington. I am sorry to have missed the service yesterday, as my wife is recovering from recent surgery. My sincere condolences to the family. - Posted by: Eugene Szach (Friend) on: Mar 07, 2016

I first met Mr Santos back in 1986 when I first started to attend to the Manitoba Legislature. He made me feel so comfortable and I learned so much from this awesome individual. It was partially due to our friendship that arose to my taking part in the NDP in Canada to where now I have had the opportunity to serve in a number of leadership positions across Canada. I will truly miss this amazing person and I am glad that all of Winnipeg and Manitoba got to share some great times with this wonderful man. - Posted by: Shayne Stanton (Former Party Associate) on: Mar 07, 2016
