Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Mme. Gobeil was my fifth grade teacher, and as I'd changed schools in the middle of the year, she helped the awkward transition from "country" girl to "city" girl. Wow, the homework... I will always remember that year, and her. My sincerest condolences to her family and loved ones. - Posted by: Randi Dueck (former student) on: Mar 15, 2016

  • Mme Gobeil, was my grade 5 teacher at Sacre Coeur school. Now as a French immersion teacher myself, I realise how dedicated she was to the pioneering program many years ago before the age of internet or ready made teaching materials. She was patient, kind and always seemed to have a smile on her face, the type of teacher I always aspire to be. She is credited to have taught me how to use a dictionary, and thus begin my love affair with vocabulary and language.

- Posted by: Terry Borys (Colleague) on: Mar 12, 2016
