Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOMENICO MENEI It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Nonno, Brother and Uncle, Domenico Menei, peacefully on March 9, 2016, with his family by his side. Domenico was called to take his rightful place in God's Garden. He leaves to mourn his amore of 56 years, Renata; his children, Giancarlo (Tammy), Giuliano, Alessandra (Domenico), Fiorella (Nigel), Louie and Marcella (Tony); grandchildren, Ryan (Kyla), Tommy (Amandalina), Domenic, Melissa (Dan), Angie (Marco), Paulina (Anthony), Kayla and Nicolas; great-grandchildren, Mia and Mason; brothers, Fiorendo (Giovanina), Salvatore (Guiseppina) and Paulo (Ida); and many nieces and nephews. Dad was born June 20, 1938 in Crognaleto, Montesilvano, Italy. He moved to Canada in 1965 seeking a better life for his wife and family. After working various construction jobs he sought employment as a foreman for City of Winnipeg where he found his calling. Some of his happiest moments were being surrounded by his children and grandchildren at Sunday night dinners. He loved making wine, sausage and cheese. His main passion and pride would have been his garden where he spent most of his time. He was a kind soul and loved to entertain everyone around him. He was an extraordinary man and will always be remembered and have a special place in our hearts. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish Church, 510 River Avenue followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Sam Argenziano as the Celebrant. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street. Active Pallbearers are Ryan Menei, Tommy Foderaro, Domenic Menei, Paul Ciarelli, Anthony Coombs and Dan Molyneux. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the Reliable Home Care Agency and specifically Leizel. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
