BERNICE ELIZABETH HOWSON 1927 - 2016 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Bernice passed peacefully on February 24, 2016, at the age of 88. She was born on July 29, 1927 in Canaan Station, New Brunswick. Bernice is survived by John, her husband of 61 years; a daughter Nancy Kotz (Jim); and three sons Jeffrey, Daryl (Beth) and Peter (Shirley); brothers, Bob Killam (Marguerite), and Rev Gillis Killam (Lorna); grandchildren Leah, Jeffrey, Brett, Ryan, Allan, Kaitlyn and Alexander; great-grandchildren Freyja, Thorben, Jazmyn and Logan. Bernice was predeceased by her parents Addison and Viola (Sherwood) Killam, her sisters Evelyn Christie (Alec) and Rhoda Matthews (Oliver), brothers Everett Killam (Mary) and George Killam (Frances), as well as infant brothers Douglas and Orland. A private viewing was held on Friday, February 26, 2016 followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes.
