JERRY TOMSIC On March 12, 2016, Jerry Tomsic's life's journey ended. He died at the Seven Oaks Hospital surrounded by family. Dad was born in Winnipeg, March 2, 1941. He spent some years in Winnipeg before settling in Piney, Manitoba, then Roseau River. He leaves to mourn his five children: Patricia, Geraldine (Frank), Cara (Vince), Cori (Justin), Cari (Sean), eight grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, two brothers and two sisters. He was predeceased by his wife Sandra, his mother (Bozena) and father (Cyril), sister Shirley and brother Leonard. We would be remiss if we didn't mention his beloved dog, Buck. Dad was a talented Jack of all Trades. He built both his houses and was noted for exceptional basement construction. As a hobby he practiced beekeeping. He was a hunter, gardener, and fisherman. As a hunter he was an expert marksman. A celebration of dad's life will take place at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1006 Nairn Ave., Saturday, March 19, at 1:00 p.m. Heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff at Seven Oaks, for the compassion and care shown by them to dad during his stay. Interment of cremated remains will take place at the Menisino Cemetery at a later date.   • My sincere condolences go out to Uncle Jerry's daughter's and entire family. Thank you for all the good times on the farm, from helping with the honey bee's, extracting the honey, having beer's, to bonfire's out at Gunderson's old homestead in the winter, for the amazing Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter Dinner's you and Aunty Sandra prepared.
