Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORISE ANN TERMEER July 1, 1933 - March 11, 2016 Dorise Ann Termeer (nee Dean), was born on July 1, 1933 in Kirkella, Manitoba. The eldest daughter of the late Percy and Anne Dean. The family moved to Keewatin, Ontario in 1944 where Doris received her education. Doris' career was in the motion picture industry starting in Kenora, Ontario at the Paramount Theater. In 1967 Doris went east to continue her education returning to Winnipeg in 1969 to open the Grant Park Cinema. In 1976 Doris married Louis John Termeer. Both Lou and Doris had a long career with a total of 75 years in the motion picture industry. Doris was a life long member in the Rebekah's, her last lodge was with the sisters of Norwood No. 42. Doris loved her church and was a member of St. Gerorge's Parish in Transcona. The love of family and friends was extremely important to Doris. Doris was predeceased by her parents Percy and Anne; sisters Joan Baker of Oregon and Bev Partti; husband Lou in 2006 and stepson Gordon as well as daughter-in-law Daphne. Doris is survived by stepson Lennard; daughter-in-law Cheryl (Gordon), her special auntie Margaret O'Greysik of Elkhorn, Manitoba along with nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends including her Red Hat Sisters. In keeping with Doris' wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations in memory of Doris may be made to St. George's Parish, 321 Pandora Avenue West and the Memorial Eye Foundation, 120-4025 Roblin Boulevard.
