Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE (GEORGIOS) PAPADOPOULOS (November 3, 1943 - March 21, 2016) Late on March 21, 2016, George Papadopoulos passed away at Health Science Centre. Born in Greece, George immigrated to Canada in 1960 where he became an exceptional chef and a dedicated family man. At the age of 72, George Papadopoulos joins his beloved wife Mary Papadopoulos, deceased 10 years earlier on June 18, 2006. He leaves behind his children Janet (Stephen), Julie, Joey (Shannon), and Allen (Sheri); his grandchildren Josaphine (Gaetan), Ashley, Alex, Avery, Brittany, Eric, Danielle, Jenna, Shavon and Presley. He also leaves to mourn his siblings Nick (Geri) and Eugenia, as well as Nicole (Phillip). We say goodbye to a beloved father, grandfather, and sibling. Although his family and friends are separated by distance, they come together to commemorate George's life. A private service will be held for his loved ones. May his memory be eternal. Having had the opportunity to meet George at his home, at George's restaurant on Henderson highway and finally at the St. Boniface Hospital a few weeks ago. We found him to be a very quiet soft spoken man. It came as quite a surprise to us when he heard of his passing. In the times we had to spend together they were times of joy and laughter. Thank you so much for that George you will be missed.
