JEAN (KATIE) KING-BIDOCHKA July 2, 1939 - March 26, 2016 Peacefully, in deep slumber, Katie slipped the bonds of Life that had held her for almost 77 years. She is now free to soar with her many Guardian Angels that watched over and protected this ever smiling orphan. She requested no ceremony, no gathering to grieve her at her passing, for a verse attributed to St. Augustine was her belief and hope. "Do not stand there crying at my grave. For I am not there, and I do not sleep." Katie hoped that each of us who had touched her life would rejoice that she is now free from pain, from the passing years and from struggle. And when at odd times she comes to mind remember her for her best - her friendship and the caring that never ceased. Remember her beautiful smile, for she always felt greatly enrichened to have known each of us. I don't think she really knew how large a family of friends the Orphan from Germany had. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I met Katie 48 years ago, and we connected right away. She was a big sister to me offering me guidance and love when I needed it. She was Aunty Katie to my 3 children and they loved her very much. When my Children were young it was their highlight to visit Aunty Katie and Uncle Robert. We all have fond memories of Katie and pray for her in a pain free place forever. We were friends through good times and bad times and that is what true friendship is. Will Miss her forever. My thoughts are with Robert. - Posted by: Aruna Hall (She was a Dear Friend to me) on: Mar 31, 2016
