IRENE MARIE PELLETIER After a brief illness, Irene Pelletier passed away peacefully, on March 31, 2016, at Tuxedo Villa, where she had resided for almost three years. She was predeceased by her loving husband John, in 2013 and daughter-in-law Jowana Pelletier. Left to mourn are her children: Guy (Charina), Paul (Ivannia), Rene (Linda), Gisele (Marcel Blair), John, Jackie (Rod Feledechuk) and sister-in-law Sylvia Pelletier; grandchildren: Logan, Genevieve, John, NoahMay, Lauricia, Monique, Desiree, Corinne, Andrea, Joe, TJ, Rosie, Angelina, Kelera, Kristen and Garrett. There are 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mom and Dad were married in 1944 and travelled to many parts of Canada while he was in the RCAF. They lived in Victoria for 20 years before returning to Winnipeg several years ago to be near family. Mom was a great cook and enjoyed her gardens. Mom could be seen travelling the halls of Tuxedo Villa, first with her walker and finally in her wheelchair several times a day. Pub Days were her favourite activity and she enjoyed her daily wine and Brandy. She was never without fresh flowers in her room. Thank you to the Tuxedo staff members who offered their care to Mom over these past few years. You will not be forgotten. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, please make a donation in memory of Irene, to either the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. • My sincere condolences to my cousins and their families. Ma tante Irène came across as a vivacious woman, lovingly supported by Uncle Johnny and her children. Good on her to enjoy her wine & brandy! This may have been her secret to longevity. Let's all have a toast to Irène on her transcending to a higher level in the universe.
