MARIE JOHNSON It is with deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Sister, Aunt, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Marie Johnson, on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Gimli Community Health Center with family by her side. Left to cherish her memory are her six children, Connie (Brent), Bonnie (Claude), Wade (Terri), Marsha, Marcella (Keith) and Ross; father of her six children, Rene Lepine; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Darlene; sister-in-law Donna; brother-in-law Peter; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and longtime friend and companion Ted. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Elof Alexander Johnson and Mary Blanche Emms; granddaughter Crystal Dawn Lepine; brothers Norman, Gary, Ed and Raymond; sisters Lillian, Lena, Dorothy and Grace. As per mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gimli Legion Hall, Branch 182. A private family interment will take place at a later date. We would like to thank the staff for their care and support at the Gimli Community Health Center. We would also like to thank everyone for the wonderful visits, phone calls, flowers and cards. Mom truly appreciated it all very much. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made in Mom's name to the Palliative Care Unit at the Gimli Community Health Center or to the Canadian Cancer Society. MARIE JOHNSON Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at the Gimli Community Health Centre, Marie Johnson passed away. As per Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gimli Legion Hall, Branch 182.
