GERALD (JERRY) TURMAN April 21, 1944 - April 11, 2016 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jerry Turman on April 11, 2016 at the age of 71 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sherry, Vince (Cheryl), Jeff and Dean (Nicole); grandchildren, Melissa, Leah, Braden, David, Justin, Nataleigh, Melanie, Janine and close friend Faye Twersky. He is also survived by his sisters Dianne Simpson (Mike) and Shelley Schultz (Al) and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary and his brother Arnold. He was charismatic and quite the jokester leaving a lasting impression on those who knew and loved him. Thanks to all the staff at CancerCare and Health Sciences for all their expertise and support. A very special thank you to Faye who took care of him in his final months. In honour of Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Lung Association of Manitoba.
