June 14, 1951 - April 18, 2016 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Roman (Toto) Reyes Jr. on April 18, 2016. Roman passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nonina, his children Twinkle, Natalie, Fitzgerald and Stacey Lee (and spouses), and grandchildren Chloe, Brenna, Brittany, Mark, Mia, Angelina, Malhakai, Thaddeus, Liam, Nykko, and Dominic. Roman is also survived by his brothers Arthur, Reynold and Henry (and spouses), and numerous nieces and nephews. Roman was predeceased by his parents, Roman Sr. and Pacencia, and his siblings Venus, Divina, Gertrude, and Manolito Roman was born in Manila, Philippines, on June 14, 1951. He married the love of his life, Nonina, in 1971 and arrived in Canada in 1972, settling in the North End and building a comfortable home and life for his family. He worked for Boeing Canada for 25 years, retiring in 2016. He will always be remembered for his generosity, his creativity, sense of humour, youthful approach to life, and his meticulous appearance. Roman's children were his pride and joy, and Grandpa had an unparalleled love for all his grandchildren. The family is grateful for the kindness and care of the Nurses and Doctors of Buhler Cancer Centre, and the Palliative Care team who assisted Roman in staying home as he wished. Lamay will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016, at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street, Msgr. Enrique Samson Jr. celebrant.
