Edna was such a precious friend and such a blessing to me. I have known Edna for many years and our friendship began when she was my next door neighbour in an apartment block that I was living in in Winnipeg. She was such a wonderful Christian lady who truly served her Saviour and Lord. Edna always treated me with respect and was impressed by the knowledge I had gained from my places of employment. She often sought advice with regard to problems she had and even though I always didn't have the solution she was looking for she cherished a good listener. She was so kind to me. I kind of lost track of Edna over the last couple of years as she moved around and I no longer received her Christmas news letter as this was probably too much of a task for her to prepare anymore. However, I always thought of her and prayed for her and was going to find out somehow where she had moved when she left Steinbach. I will always remember Edna coming to the hospital to visit me after I had surgery and my supper had arrived. I was feeling so weak and nauseated and couldn't eat. Edna was persistent that I at least try to eat some strawberries and she actually fed them to me. Her eyes were sparkling and she was so pleased that I was trying to eat. Jesus lived in her!! I told her I did feel much better after eating those strawberries and will always remember that day. Edna was delighted and really cared. My deepest condolences to Edna's family on the loss of precious Edna. Heaven has another Angel!! - Posted by: Liz Bennett (Friend) on: Apr 26, 2016
