Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLARRY LEVEQUE March 3, 1938 - April 22, 2016 Larry left us peacefully, at his home in Selkirk, in the arms of his wife Anne (Telke) and under the loving care of their family, at the age of 78. Larry was born March 3, 1938 to Leda and Hector of St. Boniface, Manitoba. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Anne, of 23 years, and his second family consisting of Irene, Curt and Jared Williamson; Brenda, Madison and Brandon Sutherland; and Dan, Leesa, Ryan and Raegan Telke. He is also survived by his sister Rose, and his many nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his parents Leda and Hector, his first wife Theresa, daughter Lori Anne, son Kurtis, brother Gil (Jean), nephew Michael, and stepson-in-law Parker Sutherland. His son Kurtis, left behind two sons Harley and Hayden, to continue the Leveque name. Larry was a handsome man, gentle and soft spoken, kind and hard working, full of love and we were blessed to have him in our lives. He was also a craftsman, a carpenter, collector, artist, photographer, loyal friend and life's most wonderful partner. He would never hesitate to help someone in need, as many family and friends can remember. He built his first home in Rivercrest on Rossmere, his luxurious beach house at Lester Beach, and remodelled his retirement home in Selkirk, MB. He worked at CN Rail for 38 years, many of his fellow workers remain friends to this day. After Larry retired at the age of 55, we were married and a love story began. We wintered in Texas for 13 years where we met new friends and learned to golf. We made many wonderful memories as we traveled through life together; cruises, Phoenix, San Diego, Montreal, Vancouver, Graceland and many casinos. The grandchildren remember him as their loving and wonderful Papa . They loved him immensely and were very proud of him. He left them all with cherished keepsakes that were personalized and unique. A special thanks goes out to families and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, in Selkirk, MB with Reverend Deborah Vitt officiating. Luncheon will follow in the adjoining hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Selkirk and District Community Foundation, directed to the future Parker Sutherland Fund at 200 Eaton Ave., Selkirk, MB R1A 0W6, online at www.endowmanitoba.ca, or to a charity of your choice. The moment that you left me, my heart was split in two, one side was filled with memories, the other side died with you. Loving you, Anne Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

My sincere condolences to Larry's extensive family, especially to Rose. We were second neighbours to Hector, Leda, Rose and Larry when I lived on Notre-Dame in St. Boniface. We unfortunately lost touch over the years, but I have vivid memories of a vivacious, friendly guy who served as a role model for me in many respects. My email address is jameslev@sympatico.ca and I would very much like to hear from you, Rose. - Posted by: James Lévêque (Second cousin) on: Apr 27, 2016
