BEVERLEY ANN CLOUSTON March 16, 1947 - April 26, 2016 Peacefully, at her home, Bev passed away at the age of 69. Born in Selkirk, Bev began her life in Cloverdale on the family farm. At the age of 10 years, she was moved to the Manitoba Developmental Centre, in Portage la Prairie. She lived there for 28 years. At the age of 38, she moved to a group home in Stonewall, where she happily remained with her loving support staff and roommates, and worked at the Arris Centre, which she was very proud of. Bev was a courageous, feisty, sensitive and loving woman. She met her many challenges with determination, grace and endless perseverance. She loved her family and her Stonewall family and friends. She spent many happy hours doing puzzles of all kinds and visiting. She enjoyed travelling and loved to celebrate birthdays and Christmas. She had a radiant smile, gave crushing hugs and was extremely friendly. Her presence in the lives of everyone who knew her was huge and beautiful. Mourning Bev's loss are her siblings: John (Hazel), of Winnipeg, Joyce, of Winnipeg, David (Marg), of Victoria, BC, Lana Armstrong (Lyle), of Langruth, MB, Lisa (Greg), of Cypress River, MB, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bev was predeceased by her brother Christopher Gary (1971) and parents, John Henry (Jack) (1989) and Lenore Edell (nee Birston) (1996), Clouston, of Cloverdale, MB. Bev is also recently predeceased by close friends, Harry and Nettie, and is mourned by many "second family" members and special friends in Stonewall and at the Arris Centre. Heartfelt thanks go to the amazing support workers who have taken such loving care of Bev during her life in Stonewall. Your compassion, patience and intimate care has always been so very appreciated. You are true angels. Thanks also to Dr. Graham for the ongoing care he has given to Bev over the years. A celebration of Bev's life will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stonewall United Church. Lunch will be served at the church, followed by interment at the Cloverdale United Churchyard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, should friends so choose, donations can be made in Bev's name to the Association For Community Living, P.O. Box 1222, Stonewall, MB R0C 2Z0. Always loved, forever remembered.
