ANNA MARCINIAK (nee ZAYAC) In her 94th year, Anna went to meet her God on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Born in Terpylivka, Zbaraz, Ukraine. During the summer months, she worked for a market gardener and then at Olympic Sportswear for 17 years. She enjoyed gardening and growing a variety of flowers, which she shared with friends and neighbours, as well as her embroidered pieces. Every day she would get on her knees and pray for her family and friends. Her voice could be heard singing as she worked or relaxed around the house. Although she loved Canada, part of her heart was in Ukraine with her family, with whom she kept in contact. Anna was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Church and the seniors club. Left to mourn her passing are children, Maria Gay, Sophie (Leroy) Clarke, George and; grandsons, David and Stefan Gay. She was predeceased by her husband Teodore. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by The Rev. Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Family Cemetery, 737 Bannerman Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2X 1J9 or to the charity of one's choice. Chrystos Voskres!
