Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • Thanks to His Canadian hospitality, a family bonfire and welcome into the life at Neil Ave. His stories are memorable and his tales unbelievable. - Posted by: Peter and DArcy Wilson (Aussie "cousins") on: May 27, 2016

  • Barb, Krista & Mark, Ken, Tyler & Tamara, and all the wonderful kids …. We offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. John’s smile and friendship were a gift to everyone who knew him. He definitely was the life of the party – and he had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved in a way no other person can. He gave the strongest, warmest, most wonderful hugs. One of my favourite memories of John was how he “encouraged” Grant and I to get married by telling Grant that he was going to propose to me if Grant didn’t hurry up and do it himself. My life was blessed to have known him even in as small a way as I did. We know that John’s passing has left a huge hole in your hearts – take comfort in each other and everyone who loved him and know that he lives on in our hearts, our memories and the Heavens. “He said it's alright 'cause I see angels And they got me by the hand; Don't you cry, and don't you worry, I'm blessed, and I know I am; 'Cause God has a place in Heaven For a small town Southern man” ~ Candice on behalf of the Snider Family - Posted by: Candice (Family) on: May 25, 2016

  • So sorry for your loss. I will always remember John as the most outgoing person I ever met. To say he enjoyed life is not doing him justice...he reveled in life, enjoying every second of every minute. He will, indeed, be missed by not only those closest to him but by everyone who ever had the privilege of crossing his path. - Posted by: Sheila de Jong (Fried) on: May 25, 2016
