Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS WAYNE WARMAN 1954 - 2016 It is with sadness we announce the passing of Doug on Monday, June 6, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his sister Evelyn of Vancouver and his brother Don (Lucy) plus many nieces and nephews. Doug's life was dedicated to his teaching of many years at R. B. Russell. His joy was helping "his" kids in reaching their maximum goals. Doug loved extensive traveling in Europe, listening to music and playing drums for his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. A come and go reception to honour Doug will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Doug and I were friends in high school. Although we went our separate ways after school we still got together once in a while for a few drinks and wind up talking late into the night. Doug had an unusual sense of humour that I enjoyed. I did not know he was sick so I never got to say good-bye. There is now an empty spot in my life where he used to be.
