AMANDA (MANDY) JOHANSON 1979-2016 It is with great sorrow that we announce Mandy's sudden and peaceful passing. Mandy was a mother, daughter, sister, and granddaughter. She had a natural light and energy to her that shined on everyone she met. Mandy is predeceased by her two children, McKay and Emma; her spouse Todd; and her brother Christopher. Mandy will be dearly missed by her mother Gayle (Rodger); father Carl (Sheila); brothers, Jordan and Kyle; grandmother Millie; and nephew Cale, along with the rest of her family and friends. Mandy was born in Winnipeg, and spent her entire life in Arborg, MB and surrounding rural areas. Mandy always saw the best in everyone, and believed that she could help anyone through tough times. She was strong willed, caring and selfless. She was an animal lover, especially to her beloved dog Sandy. Mandy loved the attention of a stage, and singing. You would often find her singing karaoke in front of a crowd until she lost her voice. A celebration of life will be held on June 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Geysir Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to a Trust Account (Assiniboine Credit Union) set up for her nephew Cale Johanson, whom she raised as her son after the passing of his father, or to the Humane Society. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. wwwgilbartfuneralhome.com

I did not know Mandy long and mostly from afar (Facebook and phone). What I do know is, immediately upon meeting her, Mandy's pure soul shone through! I am so very very sorry for the loss of this beautiful woman. - Posted by: Brenda Waller () on: Jun 20, 2016
